In 2017 there were roughly 13.8 Billion specimens produced in the US.  And that number is increasing roughly 5-10% per year.  Preventable diagnostic lab errors harm more than 4 Million [US] people and contribute to roughly 40,000 - 80,000 [US] lives lost each year!

We’ve all either experienced or heard of the heart wrenching outcomes of receiving incorrect specimen results.  Whether it’s mislabeling of specimen samples or wrong or even delayed laboratory diagnostic results; the devastating outcomes are the same.   It’s no wonder Johns Hopkins University lists medical errors as the third leading cause of death in the United States, lagging closely behind heart disease and cancer. 

Piesi's Lab in a Box is just that simple.  It is two devices in a box to identify (print on cassettes, slides and even test tubes) and uniquely distinguish (stain) your specimens.  We can even provide the lab media (slides, cassettes, chemicals, etc.) along with expert help to setup the entire process.

Do you need your laboratory equipment configured and perhaps someone to help manage the lab?   We can do that with our remote management and support capabilities.  We can even bring in providers to help validate your results.

Piesi's future products will include Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning by leveraging visual inspection techniques developed out of the National Institutes for Health and the National Cancer Institute.  We can even link in providers through our remote lab functionality (telemedicine) to help validate your results, support you during off hours and reduce fatigue.
